We see the body as a whole. Our team helps each person find their balance based upon their specific needs. Through weight management, functional movement, strength resistance, and cardio we use the best proven natural method of nutrition and exercise to help others find their balance and how their own body works.

    Training with others is a great way to stay motivated and ensure a social environment for your workouts. Too many people in a group, however, can often mean your needs aren’t being catered for and your fitness goals not being reached. This is why semi private group training is a great choice.

    Training with like-minded individuals creates a great atmosphere for progression, and knowing that you’ll still get the attention you need in a smaller group - and therefore achieve the results you’re looking for - is an almost perfect blend. Your trainer won’t be constantly distracted because of the size of the class, and it allows you to progress with success in a fantastic environment.

I want to share my gratitude first to my mother who taught me at a very young age to be conscious and in tune with my body. She and I began working out in front of the TV doing jumping jacks with Jack LaLanne. Though I later ventured into the medical field, my heart remained in physical exercise. My personal and professional life has always been very active. At Boys and Girls Country children’s home in Hockley, Texas, I worked as a house parent and created the recreation program. In the fourteen years since then, I have focused my career on health and recreation.

As life moved on, I began gaining weight no matter how much I worked out. I felt depressed, anxious, tired all the time, and experienced hair loss. A wonderful lady introduced me to Dr. Hotze by giving me his book, Hormones, Health and Happiness. I decided to lead with my body and made an appointment, where I learned I had low thyroid and was going through the change of life. I started a yeast free nutritional plan and balanced my hormones along with my fitness training. I lost 30 pounds in 30 days. This taught me that managing a fit and balanced lifestyle required more than simply working out. This realization triggered my inner purpose to train and teach others the benefits of health and fitness.

I’m now the owner of Esteem Body Works in Brenham, Texas, where I train clients locally and virtually. I specialize in combining all the right components of functional fitness with muscle confusion, balanced nutrition, and flexibility to meet individualized goals, gain self-esteem and reach success in one’s life.

Your Body is the Machine! First I must tell you that like many successful people, you build from your perceived weaknesses. Walt Disney was fired from a local newspaper for not being creative enough. Two people fired me as a trainer because I do not use machines to train. I begin with you and your body machine. I use your body to strengthen yourself along with a few simple tools for optimal results. I believe God created our body as an amazing, ultimate machine. We are made to move and have balance and strength to live adventurous and successful lives. We all have mishaps or feel uncoordinated. I see the ability in all bodies. If you focus on your disability, that is the place you stay stuck. If you seek to find the ability to move and live, you move forward. This applies to your physical body as well as your mind and spirit.

I see the body as a whole. In my experience, most people don’t know how to pull it all together to be successful. My post holiday tip for optimal full body results is to find a great trainer who combines functional fitness, balanced lifestyle nutrition, flexibility training, and is knowledgeable about additional resources, such as balancing your hormones, good supplementation and vitamins.

It was a time for me to change. Like so many people I struggled with my weight. I pushed away from the table and took regular early morning walks at a nearby park but met with only modest success.

A phone from my doctor became a loud and clear call to action. A recent examination showed I was not only carrying too many pounds, I was developing an unhealthy heart. A walk in the park would not be enough.

My husband and I both were wary of stomach sleeves and stapling surgery. My doctor explained that every part of my body, including all of my stomach was there for a reason. He recommended a physical trainer.

Hiring a physical trainer was not an easy way out but a worthwhile one. Trainer Jeanette Williams was noted in the local community as being one of the very best. From the first session I knew I couldn't quit. With routine of weight lifting and aerobics, coupled with diet advice and counseling, my results were stunning. I lost one hundred pounds, while going from size 28 to 18. I gained a physical strength I had never known. I found muscles I didn't know I had. I became more alert and sharper at my job. Walking was no longer an unpleasant chore. I was so filled with strength and energy I breezed by everyone on the walking path. I no longer had to stop to get my breath. It seemed I gained strength with every step I took.

Working with Jeanette Williams was essential to my success. With a smiling face and encouraging words came a demand I always strive to the next level. What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?

Having gone through a life altering illness in 2015 I found myself with diminished physical capabilities and dealing with nerve damage. I had to find someone besides a physical therapist to help me. In addition I am in my mid-sixties, overweight, with knee problems and had to have a low impact program. I found that most trainers at am are working with people who don't have these kinds of problems. So finding a trainer who had the patience and experience to work with clients who have real physical issues is not an easy thing. Esteem Body Works was the perfect option as they were willing to work with older, physically challenged clients that other trainers won't. It has helped my outlook and made me physically stronger.

What results have you achieved since starting your program?

At this point I can now get up and down stairs which was a real problem for me. I have improved my balance and core strength. It has helped chronic swelling of my lower limbs and my range of motion. I used to really hate exercise but now I realize I can't live without it. It just makes you feel so much better. I have lost inches in my arms and legs and can see and feel the difference.

What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?

I found that with the Esteem Body Works program that I liked getting one-on-one training on what exercises I needed and taught how to use the machines/other exercise tools correctly. I loved having someone to inspire me to work harder and do things I would have not done on my own. It was great to have a program tailored for your special needs.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?

I could not have achieved what I have without this program. If you need real help due to a physical problem or from an illness, regular physical therapy helps you get started but I could not get to where I needed to be with just PT. So for me a professional trainer was the solution I needed. I was taught the right way to exercise, I learned about the right nutrition required to in improving your physical self, and to be inspired. I am truly grateful I was able to succeed find a great trainer who would work with my physical problems and help me succeed in becoming better and stronger.

I like the accountability having trainers. I enjoy the semi private work outs. I tend to work harder with like minded people.
